Domyo-ji Walk 4/5/10

あみまウォークで近鉄南大阪線、道明寺から石川沿いに家迄あるく。10-20km.
川沿いの桜や鳥や銅像や、田舎の河内源氏の墓等を巡る。
なかなかおもしろかったが、かなり歩いた。

In San Francisco, hotel employee were protesting their right for their wages and insurance. Most of the workers I saw were immigrants. Located at Market between 4th and 5th.

Midousuji Window 御堂筋ウィンドウ 2/17/10

I went to see "Midousuji Window" sculpture, installation show at downtown Osaka. They show many contemporary installation at the business building by the window on Midousuji street. That is why they called it, "Midousuji Window". It is also the district that has old, Classical, Greek, and Mayan style buildings from Taisyo era to early Syowa era.（1912-1930) I like to walk around the place and see old modern Western buildings.

「御堂筋ウィンドー」という大阪市主催のアートのイベントをやっていたので2/17日に廻りました。平日でもうほとんど終わりかけでもちろんほとんど見ている人もいなく、雨も降っていました。御堂筋沿いのオフィスビルやホテル等のウィンドーの中に現代アートを展示してあったのを見て回りました。確かにおもしろい作品が多かったので、もっと多くの人が見てくれたらな、と思いました。本当に自社ビルとかあって、見ていると、ビジネスマンの邪魔になるような事も若干あって、彼らはあまり興味がないようでした。

もっとたくさんこのような行事があればアートも盛り上がると思いました。
