Tottori sand dune sand sculpture exhibition

I traveled to Tottori for a couple of days, and had a chance to see Sand sculpture, I have been wanting to see. This exhibition has been held for many years already, and this year, the theme was Africa. The artists were selected from many countries around the world.

Tottori sand dune ahead is the Japan Sea

Many people hike up there, and over the hill you can do sand boarding, and camel ride.

Some people are playing with kites.

I like the 3Dness of the jeep.

Gathering all African animals. It seems hard to make.

What are they looking?

Diva is watching them working...

Here is the interior of the exhibition.

They are also some outside exhibition.

All kinds of African masks. Interesting cultural display.

Midousuji Window

Midousuji Window on Picasa

Midousuji Window on Flicker

I went to see "Midousuji Window" sculpture, installation show at downtown Osaka. They show many contemporary installation at the business building by the window on Midousuji street. That is why they called it, "Midousuji Window". It is also the district that has old, Classical, Greek, and Mayan style buildings from Taisyo era to early Syowa era.(1912-1930) I like to walk around the place and see old modern Western buildings.

It is made with the telephone books cut with the shape. When I went around, I saw the front side of the phone books. This is actually back side of the phone books. Good idea...
