Here are my trip for from San Francisco to my friends place, (Jizo for Peace Center) at Pine Mountain.
I rode on California Shuttle Bus to LA from San Francisco. Gorgeous bus but reasonable.

Gas station stop in the middle of the desert.
A Hindu temple at West LA. My friend took me, Mexican style church, but Buddhist temple in a hidden place. I met some Hollywood artists, and photographers.

A doggy's name is Hachi (eight) because she was born on 8th.
When I woke up early and got out for walking, I found a family of deer, so I went back in to take pictures of them.
She told me she needs to get down to the mountain to make a phone call. No cell at her area.

Next town down from Pine Mountain from a cafe that she could use internet. I took a day before leaving her place.
This is the California City Bus. I am not San Francisco residence now, but I have been living in SF, since 2000. I am proud of them they have a better long distance bus than Greyhound.
It may be common to see that kinds of views for American, but for me as Japanese it is interesting to see the vast and abandoned American landscape. In Japan, we always see building or mountain not much flat areas.
